James Hunter

Funeral services for James Jim Hunter of Hobbs, N.M., will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2008, at Prairie Haven Memorial Park Chapel with Pastor Jerry McArthur officiating.

Mr. Hunter, 69, died March 16, 2008, at his home in Hobbs, N.M. He was born May 20, 1938, in Sedalia, Mo. He married Patricia Holloman Hunter on Sept. 11, 1970, in California.

Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing and building things. He liked a challenge. He was a member of NorthGate Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Hunter of Hobbs, N.M.; a son, Chris Light of Alabama; two brothers, C.L. Hunter of Colorado and Gary Hunter of South Dakota; two sisters, Rosella Hood of Colorado and Evelyn Gillispie of Washington; two daughshy;ters, Terri and Pam Light of Alabama; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandshy;children, nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James and Helen Hunter.
