James L. Dolloff, Jr. 58, was born October 21, 1958 in Seagraves, TX to James and LeFreda Dolloff, Sr. He passed away in Colorado City, Texas on October 23, 2016.
Jim served two years in the Marines right after high school. He returned to college at UTPB in Odessa, TX receiving his bachelor's degree.
He went to work in the oilfield before returning to school to become a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Jim married Jerri Dolloff on September 16, 1993. They blended their family of three daughters, Skyla, Rebecca, and Kimberly before completing their family with daughter Samantha.
Jim loved the Lord Jesus Christ, his family and his friends. One of his greatest pleasures in life was taking his children and grand-children hunting and shooting.
Jim loved his work at the Hobbs schools mainly because he was still a big kid at heart. He loved every child he ever worked with. Practical jokes and laughing were a huge part of who he was. It made his day if he could make those around him happy.
His co-workers at HMS and Elite Home Health were like family, he loved them all. Jim had a big heart. He wanted to make a difference in the lives he touched.
He will be greatly missed!
Jim is survived by his wife Jerri Dolloff of Hobbs; his daughters, Rebecca Dolloff and Kimberly Baer and husband Phillip Baer of Odessa, TX and Samantha Dolloff, and son-in-law Adrian Russell; grandchildren, Jayden Russell, Alyssa Baer, and Brennen Baer; mother, LeFreda Holman of San Angelo, TX; father, James Dolloff, Sr. of Odessa, TX; grandmother, Mildred Tyson of Odessa, TX and uncles, Kevin Tyson and Ronnie Tyson; sister-in-law, Donna Singleton of Lubbock, TX; brother-in-law Craig Johnson of Hobbs, NM, three nieces, eleven great-nieces and nephews of Lubbock, TX. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, William (Pat) Tyson and daughter Skyla Russell.
