Iva Nell Hull is now with her Lord and Savior. She passed away of natural causes on January 17, 2014. She was born to Ivy Guy and Ila Mae Appleton in Clyde, Texas on March 11, 1931. She graduated from Hobbs High School in 1949 and married George Hull, May 2, 1949. Nell and George divorced after many years of marriage by they continued to share a friendship until Nell passed away.
She retired as a telephone operator after twentyfour years with GTE.
Mom was a devoted prayer warrior for her family, friends and community. She also was a talented seamstress and liked to crochet. Her crochet work had many original designs. She cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
Nell had seven siblings, three of whole preceded her in death: Dean Appleton, Hilt Appleton and Judy Ankerholz.
She is survived by her children, Janie Eidson of Hobbs, Jack Hull and wife Carolyn of Hobbs, Lonny Hull and wife Angie of Haslet, Texas brother Cilt Appleton, Dale Appleton, Alton Appleton and a sister, Mitzi Bishop, all of Hobbs. Grandchildren: Jackson and Tiffany Hill of Aztec, NM, Dr. Susan Hull of Hobbs, Andrew Hull of Richmond, Virginia and Matthew Hull of Fort Worth Texas. Greatgrandchildren, Kim, Bryce and Jacklyn Hull.
Mom will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Mom had a heart for children and appreciated the Boys and Girls Ranch of New Mexico, if anyone would want to make a memorial contribution in lieu of flowers.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 20, 2014 at Chapel of Hope.
