Homer Clay “Moose” Carr, age 67 of Hobbs, New Mexico, passed away in his home on September 16, 2024. He was born on October 26, 1956, in Clovis, New Mexico, to Merrin Ray and Betty J. Carr.
Homer is survived by his daughter, April Price of Slidell, Louisiana, and his son, Homer C. Carr Jr. of El Reno, Oklahoma. He is also survived by three brothers, Robert Carr (Myra), Gary Carr (Melba), and David Carr all of Hobbs, New Mexico, and his one sister, Linda Allen (Dennis) of Jal, New Mexico. He leaves behind his special friend and companion, Valerie Bush of Hobbs, New Mexico, and his beloved dog Leo. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and previous wife Anita.
Homer enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time outdoors. He seemed to always have a project going and it was hard to make him stop to rest until the sun was setting. The last four years of his life were happily spent with his special friend Valerie, and his fur babies Leo and Sassy. He had a very caring and tender heart, always willing to help those in need, if possible. He will be missed by many.
