Henry Jimenez Jr.

A funeral service for Henry Jimenez, Jr. 47, of Hobbs will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Belton Matthews, a longtime family friend, will officiate . Burial will be at 3 p.m., Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at Woodbine Cemetery in Artesia, New Mexico.

Visitation will be from 1 5 p.m. Sunday and 1 5 p.m. Monday at Chapel of Hope.

Mr. Jeminez died September 2, 1020, at Yoakum County Hospital in Denver City, Texas. He was born June 16, 1963, in Artesia. He married Diana L. Jimenez on July 11, 1981, in Artesia.

Henry was a wonderful husband, a loving father and grandfather. Henrys life revolved around his family,. He enjoyed nothing more than having a family barbecue in his backyard and having his grandkids climb all over him. Henry left the oilfield to become a teacher and coach. Teaching and coaching were his passions. Henry was very genuine, honest and sincere in the words he spoke to each of his students. Henry enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting with his family. His heart was full of love for everyone he touched. He may be gone and he will be missed, but he will never be forgotten.

Survivors include his wife, Diana Jimenez of Hobbs. He was a loving father to son Korey Jimeenz and wife Kristy of Hobbs daughters Kassie Rimal and husband Dipendra of Hobbs and Karey Jimenez of Hobbs. He was a loving grandfather to Eli Hernandez, Mikey Hernandez, Taylor Hernandez, Adam Rimal, Angel Jimenez, Mariah Jimenez, Nathaniel Jimenez, Emily Reeser, Jordan Reeser and Matthew Jimenez, all of Hobbs.

Other survivors include his parents, Henry Jimenez, Sr. and wife Chris of Artesia three sisters, Georgia Workman and husband Louis of Artesia, Teresa Rodriquez and husband Arturo of Carlsbad and Loretta Hillard of Brunswick, Georgia brother, Candy Jimenez and wife Pam of Artesia grandmother, Isabel Jimenez of Artesia and inlaws, Roy and Lynn Atteberry and Greg and Tina Atteberry of Artesia.
