Graveside services for Mickey Evans of Hobbs, New Mexico, are scheduled for 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, August, 13, 2008, at Memory Gardens Cemetery. A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at New Life Fellowship Church, 707 W Church Street, Hobbs, New Mexico, with Pastor Millie Miller officiating.
Visitation is 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. today with the family in attenshy;dance from 3:00 -5:00 p.m. at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
Mr. Evans, 74, died August 10, 2008, at Lea Regional Medical Center. He was born November 20, 1933, in Monument, New Mexico. He married Martha Evans on January 11, 1952, in Hobbs, New Mexico.
Mickey had lived in Hobbs, New Mexico, all his life. He was a member of one of the first sets of triplets to be born in New Mexico. Mickey served in the U.S. Army in Korea. He worked for Northern Natural Gas Co. and retired from Transwestern. He was a member of the last class to gradushy;ate from Monument High School in 1952. Mickey was a member of the VFW and the Roadrunners Antique Car Club.
He was also a member of New Life Fellowship Church.
Survivors include two sons, Clinton Evans of Borger, Texas, and Kent Evans of Amarillo, Texas; a daughter, Michelle Anstey of Canyon, Texas; three brothers, Dan Evans of Hobbs, New Mexico, Bob Evans of Huntington, Texas, and John Evans of Eastland Texas; and four grandchildren.
Mickey was preceded in death by his wife Martha Evans, on October, 27, 2007.
Memorial contributions may be made to New Life Fellowship Church, 707 Church Street, Hobbs, New Mexico.
