Helene Spiegel

A memorial service for Helene L,. Spiegel, 87, of Hobbs will be 10 a.m. Saturday, September 18, 2010, at Chapel of Hope. Steve Lord, Star Hospice Chaplain, will officiate. Cremation will take place.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.

Helene died September 9, 2010, at her home in Hobbs. She was born November 8, 1922, in Seiches, France. She married George W. Spiegel on June 12, 1945, in Paris, France.

Helene was a WWII bride. She was a terrific bridge player. Helene loved her family and friends.

Survivors include two sons, Bill Spiegel and wife Anita of Joplin, Missouri, and Gerald Spiegel and wife Paula of Ben Lomond, California one daughter, Marie McCallum and husband Sam of Hobbs six grandchildren, Von McCallum and wife Susan of Edmond, Oklahoma, Christina Stanfield and husband Sam of Albuquerque, Rich Spiegel of Tucson, Arizona, Judy Spense and husband Marvin of Tennessee, Monica Murray and husband Les of IIllinois, and Emily Spiegel of Washington, D.C.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmanuel and Juliette Razot, and husband, George W. Spiegel.
