Hazel Allen

A funeral service for Hazel Allen of Hobbs, N.M., will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at Prairie Haven Memorial Park Chapel. Dr. Gary Dill will offishy;ciate.

Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Monday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and Tuesday from 8-8:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Allen, 92, died July 2, 2008, at Lea Regional Medical Center in Hobbs, N.M. She was born July 9, 1915, in Longview, Texas. She married Vearle Allen on Aug. 31, 1946, in Longview, Texas.

Hazel worked as an admisshy;sion secretary in Punahou School in Honolulu, Hawaii, for several years. She was a member of the PEO Sisterhood. She enjoyed garshy;dening and loved her family. She was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her husshy;band, Vearle Allen of the home; a daughter, Jane Chu and husband James of Honolulu, Hawaii; a sister, Robylyn Henderson of Tyler, Texas; and two granddaughshy;ters, Alyssa and Christina Chu of Honolulu, Hawaii.

Hazel was preceded in death bv a sister, Vivian Freberg.
