Gwen Reid

Gwen L Reid was born June 26, 1956 in Snyder, Texas to Ernest L and Virgie Jewel Vaughn. She married Gary Reid on January 27, 1971 in Seminole, Texas and they made their home in Hobbs and Monument, NM.

Gwen enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, trips to Vegas and spending time with her family. She considered her children and grandchildren among her greatest accomplishments. She her spent working years for Ref-Chem, Key Energy Services, Inc. and Bulldog Services before retiring in 2010.

Left  behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 48 years Gary Reid, daughter and son-in law Mechelle Radcliff and Wayne Caldwell, son and daughter-in-law Grant and Trina Reid, daughter and son-in-Law Brandy Reid and Jimmy Rather, sister and brother-in-law Valerie and James Cleveland, brothers; Leland “Buddy” Vaughn and Jessie Long, Damon Vaughn, grandchildren; Meggan and Michael Williams, Courtney and Jacob Gonzales, Madison Tarrant, Garrett Reid and Jessica Reid and seven great-grandchildren,  mother-in-law Barbara Reid, brothers and sisters-in-law; Randy and Vickie Reid, David and Diane McCann, Sheila Roquemore and  several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest L. and Virgie Jewel Vaughn, grandmother; Bertha C.  Humphrey and her father-in-law H.W. Reid.
