Guadalupe Castillo, 79, of Hobbs New Mexico, passed away on December 28th, 2017 at Lea Regional Medical Center in Hobbs, NM
Guadalupe Castillo brought his family to Hobbs in January 1977. He worked at Ralph Johnson as a Roustabout Gang Pusher for several years before he became disabled. He enjoyed fishing and his favorite past time was watching softball games.
Guadalupe was born in San Antonio del Bravo, Mexico on February 14th, 1938 to Librado Castillo and Cruz Gonzales. Guadalupe is survived by his wife Socorro Castillo, five sons Javier Castillo (Cruz Elena) of Hobbs, NM, Jose Castillo (Nanci) of Madison, AL, Joel Castillo (Margarita) of Suffolk VA, Jaime Castillo, Hobbs, New Mexico, Jerry Castillo of Santa Fe, NM. three daughters Aracely Prieto (Leonel), Angelica Castillo (Mario) both of Hobbs, NM, Alicia Castillo of Jacksonville, FL, two brothers, Jose Adan Castillo and Felipe Castillo, 26 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews that loved him dearly, and other family and friends.
Guadalupe is preceded in death by both parents, two brothers Nieves Castillo and Librado Castillo, three sisters Eva Castillo Montes, Maria Castillo Orosco, Manuela Castillo Flores a son Jorge Castillo and a grandson Omar Justin Prieto.
Pallbearers will include: Javier Castillo, Jose Castillo, Joel Castillo, Jaime Castillo, Leonel Prieto and Jeremy Garcia.
The family of Guadalupe Castillo wishes to thank Kelly Pfeiffer of LRMC, Dr. Patel, the wonderful nurses and CNA's from Star Care Home Health and all his friends that called and checked on him daily. He was loved by many and that made his days brighter.
