Mr. Lawsshy;on, 80, died Tuesday, July 3, 2007, at Lea Regishy;onal Medshy;ical Center in Hobbs, N.M. He was born March 28, 1927, in Florence, Kan. He married Shirley Hankins on April 25, 1958, in Brownfield, Texas.
Grover was a member of the VF.W. Post 3274 where he served as commander and district commander. He served as commander for the American Legion Post 26. He was in the U.S. Marine Corps. Grover was a postal worker in Hobbs for more than 30 years. After retiring from the Postal Service, he delivered trucks for Watson Truck and Supply. Grover served on the March of Dimes Board of Hobbs.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Lawson of the home; two sons, Grover A. Lawson III of Shawnee, Okla., and Monty Lawson of Hinton, Okla.; a daughter, Janice Brinesfeild of Spring, Texas; a brother, George Lawson of Topeka, Kan.; a sister, Mary Lockhart of Hubert, N.C.; an uncle, Kenneth Plotner of Midland, Texas; seven grandshy;children; and seven greatshy;-grandchildren.
