Gregory Adams

Greg Adams died on September 9, 2013, at University Medical Center in Lubock, TX. He was born on November 11, 1953, in Gallipolis, Ohio, to Harold and Patricia Adams. He attended Marshall University in Huntington, WV, and earned a B.A. in English. He moved to Hobbs in 1979 and worked for the City of Hobbs as a police officer for 20 years, retiring at the rank of Sergeant in 1999.
Greg is survived by wife Cris daughter Angela Wilhite and husband Koy of Amarillo, TX daughter McKenzie of New Ulm, M.N. and son SPC Jason Gregory Adams, who is serving in Afghanistan stepson Jason Allen Adams and wife Heather of Hobbs and stepdaughter Emily Brown and husband Chuck of Abilene, TX. Also surviving him are grandchildren Kolton and Kamryn Wilhite Brianna, Faith, and Alissa Adams and Haley and Lynsey Coons.
Greg is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Mark. Cremation will take place, with Chapel of Hope making the arrangements. There will be no memorial service, but donation can be made to the Hobbs Public Library, 509 N. Shipp, Hobbs, NM 88240 or the New Mexico Christian Childrens Home, 1356 New Mexico 236, Portales,
