Glenda Lea Coffman, 85, of Glendale, Arizona passed away on June 25, 2014. She was
born in Wichita Falls, Texas on August 31, 1928 to Malcolm C and Ola Mae Kennedy.
She married Delbert D. Coffman on June 15, 1946. She lived in Hobbs from 1946 until
2007. She was a bookkeeper for Paulines Style Shop for many years. She was a member
of First Baptist Church of Hobbs, and the Tumbleweed Grandmothers Club. Glenda is
survived by her son Delbert Lee Coffman of Kerrville, Texas her daughter Debbie Smith
Jerry of Glendale, Arizona her daughter in law Cristie Coffman of Hobbs her three
sisters: Mickie Jones Jerald and Gay Thomas Bill of Comanche, Texas, and Patty Austin
Jimmy of Odessa, Texas three grandchildren: Chris Smith Jennifer of El Mirage,
Arizona, Melissa Hansen John of Buckeye, Arizona, and Michael Coffman Alina of
Austin, Texas six greatgrandchildren: Corey, Ryleigh, Kody, Mikalah, and Miley of
Arizona, and Laila of Texas and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Delbert Coffman and son Rod Coffman of
Hobbs, her parents, and five brothers and four sisters. She was a very loving wife,
mother, sister and friend and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be at Chapel of Hope from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2014.
The funeral will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Chapel of Hope, with burial following
at Memory Gardens, Hobbs, New Mexico.
