Glayds Williamson

Gladys U. V. Williamson, 98, was born February 14, 1916 in Rotan, Texas to Homer and Effie Coppedge. Mrs. Williamson passed away May 6, 2014 at Good Life Care Center in Hobbs, New Mexico. She married A.T. Gus Williamson March 4, 1933 in Holtville, California. Gladys was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, sewing and baking.

Mrs. Williamson is survived by son Harold Williamson, and wife Judy, of Monument, Colorado sister Lorene Moore of Eunice, New Mexico brothers Harold Coppedge of Grapeland, Texas and Joe Coppedge of Show Low, Arizona daughterinlaw Mary Lou Williamson of Atlanta, Georgia six grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.

Mrs. Williamson was preceded in death by her parents her husband, A.T. Gus Williamson brothers, ONeal Red, Herman, Gene, A. T. and James Coppedge sister Pansy White and son Truman Williamson.

Light refreshments will be served between 1:00 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Good Life Senior Living, 1920 College Lane, in Hobbs.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:30 pm, Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Brad Reimers. Interment will follow at Prairie Haven Cemetery.
