Funeral services for Geraldine Yvonne Rall (Gerri), age 91 of Hobbs, NM will be conducted Wednesday, January 4,2 017 at 10 a.m. at Jefferson Street Church of Christ with Bro. Clay Martin officiating. Viewing will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 6 - 7 pm at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.

Geraldine Yvonne Rall went to her heavenly home on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Desert Gardens Assisted Living in Hobbs, New Mexico. Gerri was born January 17,1925 in Sebring, Florida. She met her husband, Anderson Amos Rall during WWII and they married December 24, 1944 in Sebring, Florida.

Gerri attended Douglas High School in Sebring, Florida and received her Associate degree from Bethune-Cookman College in Daytona Beach, Florida. Her Bachelor of Sciences degree was obtained from the College of the Southwest, Hobbs, New Mexico. Gerri also obtained her Master of Arts Degree from Western New Mexico University in Silver City. Gerri taught elementary grades in Florida, Arkansas, and New Mexico spanning 23 plus years. Her philosophy of education was to touch a life and to create within each child a healthy self-concert and a desire to learn. In March 1989 and January 1985, Gerri was awarded Teacher of the Month by the Hobbs Association of Classroom Teachers.

Gerri was a proud member of Delta Kappa Gamma (teacher's organization) and Jefferson Street Church of Christ where she taught children's bible classes for many years.

Gerri loved taking care of her family, sewing, crocheting, quilting, gardening and playing the piano. Gerri played the piano for music programs at Washington Heights Nursery and Booker T. Washington Elementary for many years.

Gerri is survived by son Keith Rall and wife Dorothy; daughter, Lynnette Rall; daughter Annette (Rall) Dingle-Mosley and husband Melvin; grandchildren, Bryan Amos Dingle, and Erin Rall.

Gerri was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Willie Mae Anderson, husband Anderson Amos Rall, and daughter, Kerrie Jean Rall.
