George Bowen

George Reggie Bowen, 69, died in an automobile accident outside of El Paso, Texas on Dec. 23, 2006.

He was born March 19, 1937 in Comanche, Oklahoma. He married Connie Flowers on October 18, 1985 in Lovington, NM.

Reggie moved to Hobbs in 1963 and worked for KW Fuels for the last 10 years. He also worked for Climax Chemical for 20 years. He was a former Mason and he loved to work in his garden. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. Reggie was about to retire so he could spend more time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Bowen of Hobbs; a son, Terry Bowen of Hobbs; two daughters, Janell Babb and Kelly Cook, both of Hobbs; three step-sons, Alfred Gutierrez of Ft. Worth, Tx, Steven Gutierrez of Albuquerque, NM and John David Gutierrez of Odessa, TX; a step-daughter, Trini Gonzales of Hobbs, 21 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Reggie was preceded in death by his parents Opal and Clayton Bowen.
