Gaylon R. Turner, 87, was born September 6, 1929 in Mobeetie, TX to Harley and Bertha Turner. He passed away in Hobbs, NM on January 5, 2017.

Gaylon was a loving father and loved to cook. He retired from SPS. He was an avid hunter. He loved taking care of his family. He owned Turner Field Service for 10 years.

He is survived by his three sons, Gaylon G. Turner, Gerald L. Turner and Dakota L. Turner; two sisters, Nina McLerran and Mary Philips; three grandchildren, Kimberly Rodgers, Gloria Harrison and Dakota L. Turner and a special friend, Eric Thomas; five great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Gaylon was preceded in death by his wife Georgia and 9 of twelve brothers and sisters.
