Gaylene Jackson

June 24, 1959 — June 4, 2012

Gaylene Jackson went to be with our Lord on Monday, June 4, 2012, at 7:30 p.m. She was born June 24, 1959, in Ft. Lee, Virginia, to Carolyn and Bill Garvin. She married Richard Jackson October 10, 1984, in Seminole, TX, and had been married twentyseven years.

Friends and family have wonderful memories of Gaylene. She enjoyed and looked forward to family gatherings when all of her family, especially her sons and grandchildren, could all be together, even though she was notoriously late. One of her favorite pastimes was playing Rummikub with her family. All year she would look forward to summertime when she could take her grandkids on their mini vacation.

She accepted Christ in her youth and served the Lord faithfully every day since. She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God.

Gaylene was a workaholic and loved what she did. She had a passion for bookkeeping and worked as office manager for Stone Oil Field Service in Lovington. In her spare time, she had other bookkeeping clients. She was the family tax preparer.

Surviving Gayleen is her husband, Richard Jackson of Hobbs sons, Johnny Lee, and wife Jennifer, of Hobbs, Jimmy Lee of Hobbs, Chris Jackson, and wife Susan, of Odessa, TX, Justin Jackson, and wife Khara, of Copperas Cove, TX parents, Carolyn and Bill Garvin of Hobbs sisters, Darla Parker, and husband John, of Hobbs, Christy Garvin of Hobbs and Cara Huffman, and husband Scott, of Hobbs grandchildren, Stormy Jackson of Copperas Cove, TX, Summer Jackson of Dallas, TX, Skylar Jackson, of Copperas Cove, TX, Miradyth Jackson, of Odessa,TX, Ethan Lee of Hobbs, Klohie Lee of Hobbs, Maddison Lee of Hobbs, Tara Jackson of Odessa, TX, Mackenzie Lee of Hobbs, Zaiden Jackson of Copperas Cove, TX numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and her employer, W.
