Frank M. Moreno

Frank Marrufo Moreno was born July 29, 1957, in Kermit, Texas, to Isidro and Enriqueta Moreno. The family settled in Artesia, New Mexico. Frank spent many years here. He graduated high school in 1975. After high school Frank began working as a pipeliner with his father. This, as with many who live in this area, led to the beginning of his long-standing career in the oil patch as a pumper. He worked for Yates Petroleum for 40 years before the company was acquired by EOG Resources, where he worked an additional 3 years before retiring. Throughout this time Frank started a family and cared for his mother until she passed away in 1992.

He ultimately found his way to Hobbs, New Mexico, where he continued his career. Here he finished raising his kids, all of whom graduated high school and eventually created lives of their own. Frank loved vintage cars, visiting friends and family, riding his motorcycle, and collecting knives and guns. He had a special love for his brothers, nieces, and nephews. He will be dearly missed as he leaves many memories for many people.

Frank leaves to mourn: his wife of 10 years Ana Rodriguez of Hobbs, four children - Leslie Moreno, of Odessa, TX, Jessica (Dondrell senior) Austin of Hobbs, NM, Angela Moreno of Hobbs, NM, and Joshua (Kylee) Moreno of Artesia, NM, and two brothers - Joe (Josie) Moreno of Crane, TX, and Rudy (Liberada) Moreno of Marble Falls, TX. Frank also leaves 6 grandchildren, 3 nephews, and 2 nieces. Frank was an avid dog lover who also leaves behind his dog Chapo. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Isidro and Enriqueta Moreno, and his sister, Mary Moreno.
