Frances Smith

Frances Smith, 86, was born September 21, 1927 in Plainview, Texas to Charles and Elizabeth Hardesty. Frances passed away May 29, 2014 in Hobbs, New Mexico. Frances married Fred L. Smith in 1944 in Hereford, Texas. She was a longtime bridge player, and belonged to The Grandmothers Club. She was a member of the Pink Ladies. Frances was also a member of the Altar Society at St. Helenas Catholic Church.

Mrs. Smith is survived by three sons, Ken Smith of Florida, Jerry Smith of Glendale, Arizona, and Pat Smith of Hinton, Oklahoma two daughters, Monica Scott of Forth Worth, Texas and Kathy Jones of Hobbs, New Mexico fifteen grandchildren and 25 greatgrandchildren.

Frances was preceded in death by a son, Charles Smith husband Fred L. Smith dad Charles Hardesty, and mother Elizabeth Hardesty.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Jotty Kinney.
