Floreine Glenn

Mrs. Glenn, 83, died Nov. 10, 2006, at Lea Regional Medical Center. She was born Feb. 23, 1923, in Davila, Texas. She married J.R. Glenn on Valentine's Day in 1943 in Andrews, Texas. The Glenns had been married 63 years.

Mrs. Glenn moved to Andrews, Texas in 1928 where she attended school. She moved to Hobbs in 1970. Floreine was an avid homeshy;maker and gardener. She was never happier than when she was in her kitchen cooking and baking. Her family thought she made the best oatmeal cookies anywhere. Floreine loved her family both blood and extendshy;ed. She was a member of Fellowship of Believers.

Survivors include her husshy;land, J.R. Glenn of the home; son, Johnny Glenn and wife Kim of Hobbs, N.M.; a daughter Carolyn Sherrill and husshy;band Alvin of Hobbs, N.M.; seven grandchildren; 15 great-gshy;randchildren; one great-gshy;reat-grandchild; one sister, Lola Johnson of Henderson, Texas; and four brothers, Raymond and Robert McAfee of Odessa, Texas, A.D. McAfee of Midland, Texas, and Jesse McAfee of Roscoe, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert A. and Fannie Hitch Glenn; two sisters, Katie Bennett and Lou Thompson and two brothers, Roy and John McAfee.
