A funeral Mass for Feliciana Nina Aguilar will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at St. Helena Catholic Church.
A rosary will be said Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at 6 p.m. at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
Visitation is 8 a.m.-8 p.m. today and 8 a.m.-1 p,m. Wednesday at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
Cremation will take place at a later date.
Ms. Aguilar, 78, died May 10, 2008, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. She was born May 20, 1929, in Phoenix, Ariz.
Nina lived in Artesia, N.M., before moving to Hobbs, N.M., in 1962. She had worked for Rufshy;fner's Groshy;cery Store, Classic Clshy;eaners, Wesshy;tern Auto and Mrs. Baird's Brshy;ead Store, where she was a very comical person. She never met a stranger, enjoyed people, cooking, sports and life. Her greatest joy in life was her children and grandchilshy;dren.
She was a very devoted memshy;ber of St. Helena Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sons, Tony Aguilar Jr. and wife Nancy of Hobbs, N.M., and Israel Aguilar and fiancee Cheryl Baird of Hobbs, N.M.; a daughter, Marla Ritter and husband Kip of Hobbs, N.M.; 11 grandchildren; 11 greatshy;grandchildren; a brother, Joe Galvan; a sister, Ida Bejarano; and seven stepshy;brothers and stepsisters, Estella Saiz, Dora Campos, Lupe Beltran, Lucy Brito, Marta Grado, Sammy Brito and Pepa Lazos.
Nina was preceded in death by her father, Joe Galvan; her mother, Micala Chavez Galvan; her stepfather, Eladio Brito; a daughter, Diana Aguilar; a brother, Jessie Galvan; a sister, Maria Leyva; and two great-grandchildren, Haley Lynn Lopez and. Cyrus Barrios.
