Everett "Ed" Fowler, 92, was born October 9, 1922 in Joyce, LA to Joseph and Maggie Fowler. He passed away April 28, 2015 in Lubbock, TX.
Ed married the love of his life Myrtice A. French in Natchez, MS on September 25, 1941. The oil industry brought Ed to Hobbs. He worked for Getty Oil until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and his pecan trees. Ed enjoyed telling oilfield stories from his past which included personally meeting Howard Hughes of Hughes Bits, J.P. Getty, and Mr. Baker with Baker Oil Tools.
He is survived by his children, Everett Fowler, Jr and wife Bitsie of San Angelo, TX, Joe Fowler and wife Betty of Sun City, TX and Carolyn Fowler Woolsey and husband David of Hobbs, NM, 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Myrtice A. Fowler.
