Eva Norris

June 11, 1915 — August 5, 2012

Eva Mae Norris, 97, of Skellytown, TX, was welcomed into Gods loving arms on August 5,2012, in Denver City, TX.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, August 10, 2012, in Memory Gardens Cemetery Chapel in Pampa with Finis Marchman officiating. Arrangements are by Chapel of Hope Funeral Home of Hobbs, NM.
Mrs. Norris was born on June 11, 1915, in Waynoka, OK. She married the love of her life, Melvin Red Norris, on October 12, 1930. They were married 74 years. She owned and operated the E M drug store in Skellytown. A longtime resident of Skellytown, she was famous for her stunning quilts, homemade pies and generous heart. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, two sisters, her
husband, and a son.
Survivors include a daughterinlaw, Janie of Tucson AZ, daughters Col. Helen May Norris USAF NC, ret. of Bushland, Alice Fay Dickens and husband Jackie of Hobbs, NM, four grandchildren, seven greatgrandchildren, and one greatgreatgrandchild.
The family suggest memorials be made to the Baptist Children Home, 2200 S. Avenue I, Portales, NM 88130.
