Eva Brown

Mrs. Eva E. Honey Brown died Sunday, August 23, 2009 in Ruidoso, New Mexico. Honey was born on November 25, 1917, in Thomson, Illinois, to Jacob and Luelle Belle Green.

She married Gerald E. Brown on November 28, 1936, in Rock Island, Illinois. He preceded her in death in 1983.

Honey is survived by daughters Judy and husband Orvie Nix of Amarillo and Pam Brown of Ruidoso.

Survivors include grandchildren Gerald Nix and his wife Tanya of Hobbs, Carrie Blakey and her husband Joe of Tuttle, Oklahoma, Justin and Julia Gonzalez of Ruidoso; great-grandchildren Jaime and Jeremy Nix, Stacey Taylor and fiancee, Clint Northcutt, and Hillary and Jose Gayton of Hobbs; Hayley Dossett, Madison and Emily Blakey of Tuttle and great-great-grandchild, Christian Gayton of Hobbs.

A memorial service will be conducted by John Ayers, Associate Pastor of the Fellowship of Believers on Thursday, September 17, 2009, 10:00 a.m. at Chapel of Hope in Hobbs.
