Esperanza Lopez Garcia, 91, of Hobbs, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2023.

She was born September 10, 1931, in Raymondville, Texas.

Esperanza Lopez Garcia, 91, of Hobbs NM, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 9, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born a twin and one of thirteen children on September 10, 1931, to Francisco and Eugenia Lopez. She was raised in Raymondville, Texas, where she met the love of her life and husband of 71 years, Ubaldo (Walt) Garcia. They lived and worked in Raymondville until 1953 when they decided to move to Hobbs, NM to raise their family. Together they had a successful Texaco/Chevron car wash business for 45 years until they retired in 2010. She was a devoted and wonderful wife, amazing mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her warm smile and gentle embrace will be greatly missed, but the beautiful memories of her will live within our hearts forever.
