Elva Jane Paulowsky, born December 12, 1922, died of Alzheimers disease at her sons home in San Antonio at 10:45, Monday the 11th of April, 2011.
Jane was a longtime resident of Hobbs and former employee of the Hobbs News Sun.
She and her son Joe Randy Caddell moved to Hobbs in 1956. She married George Paulowsky on the 25th of March, 1959. They were together until his death 32 years later. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, was a marvelous painter, loved to dance, fish, play golf and garden but most of all she loved her family. In 2002, she moved to San Antonio to be near her son and daughterinlaw, Randy and Teri Caddell.
Jane was preceded in death by her mother Velma Goodwin and father, Lee J. Dial. She is survived by her son and his wife, Joe and Teri Caddell of San Antonio stepson, Mike Paulowsky of Las Cruces stepdaughter, Ann Brown of Houston, Texas her brother, Larry Dial of Houston stepsister Dana Sue Crouch of Baytown six grandchildren and 5 greatgrandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday the 16th of April at the Chapel of Hope on North Dal Paso. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens. While in San Antonio, Jane participated in supporting several ministries and charities. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Surrendered Life Ministries, co Joe Caddell, 14759 Hillside Ridge, San Antonio, TX 78233. They will be distributed to ministries in honor and memory of her.
