alignjustifyFuneral services for Tommie Dickinson of Hobbs, New Mexico, will be 2 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 2009, at First United Methodist Church with Pastor David Matkins officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.

alignjustifyVisitation is noon -7 p.m. Wednesday with the family in attendance from 5-7 p.m. at Chapel of Hope and 8 a.m.- noon Thursday at Chapel of Hope.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.

alignjustifyMrs. Dickinson, 78, died February 23, 2009, at Lea Regional Medical Center. She was born June 16, 1930, in Soper, Oklahoma. She married Tommy Dickinson.

alignjustifyTommie was an active member of First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Lion's Club. She was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her boys. After her husband's retirement, they enjoyed traveling. Her family was her greatest joy in life.

alignjustifySurvivors include two sons, Tony Dickinson and wife Rita of Capitan, New Mexico, and Toby Dickinson and wife Myssi of Round Rock, Texas; one sister, Peggy Jo Davenport of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren, Lacey Dickinson of Atlanta, Georgia, Tim Dickinson of Capitan, New Mexico, Kyler Dickinson of Round Rock, Texas, Jacob Dickinson of Capitan, New Mexico, Kadyn Dickinson of Round Rock, Texas, and Brittanya Dickinson of Round Rock, Texas.

alignjustifyShe was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy in 1997.
