Eloise Frances Simmons went to be with the Lord Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Desert Gardens Assisted Living in Hobbs, NM. Funeral services for Eloise will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 10 am, at Taylor Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor Brandon Davis officiating, assisted by Mr. Ray Smith. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Eloise will be in state at Chapel of Hope on Monday from 8am till 8pm with the family in attendance from 68pm, Tuesday 88:30 am.
She was the oldest daughter of Clent and Thelma Oliver. Eloise was born on February 17, 1919 in Palestine, Texas. Eloise was 95 years old.
Eloise married Kenneth Simmons in Grandfield, Oklahoma on March 24, 1939.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three sisters.
Eloise was in Jubilee Choir at Taylor Memorial Baptist Church where she and Kenneth were faithful members. She was a homemaker, Sunday School teacher and truly loved the lord. She and Kenneth were Gods great example of what parents are supposed to be, trusting God for everything and raising their children to know Gods love. Also being instrumental in leading their grandchildren and greatgrandchildren to the Lord.
Eloise loved her family get togethers. She did exceptional needle work and cooking. Her motto was God Is So Good.
She is survived by her children 2 daughters Glenda Redd of Houston, Texas and Joy Burke and husband JIm of Corpus Cristi, Texas and a son, Ray Simmons and his wife, Linda, of Hobbs, NM. Also 11 grandchildren and 14 greatgrandchildren.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Baptist Missions Fund at Taylor Memorial Baptist Church, 1700 East Yeso, Hobbs, NM
Services are under Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
