Elijiah Hicks

A funeral service for Elijiah James Hicks of Hobbs will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 19, 2009, at Prairie Haven Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel. The Rev. Bennie Greenlee will officiate. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park

A memorial Mass will be held Friday, December 18, 2009, at St. Helena Catholic Church at 4 p.m.

Visitation is 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Friday at Chapel of Hope, which is in charge of arrangements.

Hicks, 5 days old, died December 15, 2009, at Lea Regional Medical Center. He was born December 9, 2009, in Hobbs.

Survivors include his parents, James and Nikke Hicks of Hobbs; grandparents Tina Dye, Joey and Doris Hicks, and Greg and Paquita Raco; great-grandparents James and Sue Hicks, Linda Jones and Vicki Sullivan; brothers and sisters Desmond Hare, Malana Hare, Titiana Hicks, Camille Hare and Christopher Hicks; aunts and uncles, Kristal and Megan Hicks, Cassandra Hicks, Rusty and Mary Jane Smith, and Michael and Meaghan Lawler, Jaime Caldwell, Timmy Barnes, Jr., Brandy Lawler, Matthew Hicks, Bryan Lawler and Jennifer Warden.

Elijiah was preceded in death by Grandpa Mac Charlie Thompson, uncle Matthew Anderson, Cleta Salmans, Irene and Edgar Hicks and Toy Martin.
