Eileen Hammons

Eileen Jean Hammons, 76, was born November 28, 1937
in Cleveland, Ohio, to Edward and Thelma Estep. Eileen
passed away May 1, 2014 in Hobbs, New Mexico. Eileen
married George Hammons on October 11, 1955 in Mesopo
tamia, Ohio. She earned her degree from College of the
Southwest at age 50. She belonged to Students in Free
Enterprise while attending CSW. Eileen worked as a book
keeper in the oilfield.

She is survived by her husband George of the home two daugh
ters, Sally Brandt of Hobbs and Virginia Paul of Maljamar and
two sons, Joel Hammons, and Mark Hammons, both of Hobbs
two aunts, Shirley Halstead of Florida, and Doris Butcher of
Washington State, and 15 grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

Eileen was preceded in death by three children and three brothers.

A memorial service will be held at 1 pm, June 7, 2014 at New Hope
Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Ray Poskey.
