Edith Quarles

Edith Marie Quarles, born to Lora amd Jim Caldwell on February 22, 1914, passed away at age 96 at Heartland Care of Hobbs July 30, 2010.

She was a loving mother and devoted wife of Rev. J. C. Quarles who died November 19, 1997.

She lived in Lea County all her life.

She is survived by her two children, Floyd Dale Quarles, Barstow, California, and Lora Ellen Gillespie of Hobbs, New Mexico. Marie had 6 grandchildren, 21 greatgrandchildren and 10 greatgreatgrandchildren.

The family expresses special thanks to niece Earlene Pat Guy for her years of dedication in caring for Marie and J. C.

Funeral services will be August 5, 2010, 10:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Lovington, New Mexico. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Chapel of Hope.
