E Castle

E. Lorene Castle went to be with our Lord and Savior January 26, 2013, after a battle with cancer. She was born in Tucumcari, NM, December 31, 1933, to Marvin, Sr., and Mary Elizabeth Clary.

Services are under the direction of Chapel of Hope and will be conducted by Rev. Ken Yocom, assisted by Pastor Guy Coup, and will be held at Chapel of Hope 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2013, with interment in Sudan, TX, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband and infant son. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 29 at Chapel of Hope 10 a.m. 6 p.m. with the family in attendance from 4 6 p.m. and Wednesday 8 a.m. until service time.

Lorene was a Girl Scout Leader when the family resided in Roswell, NM. She and husband, Cecil, took the troop to the Ralph Edwards Fiesta in Truth of Consequences, NM, among other places. She worked as an LPN in 1965 at La Siesta Retirement Home and later at Lea General Hospital.

Lorene is survived by 5 children, Elizabeth Van Winkle of Hobbs, Cecil Marvin Castle, Jr. of Lovington, Mary Thomas of Monument, Janet Davis, and husband Randy, and Judy Pennell, and husband Bobby, both of Hobbs grandchildren, Donna Dunham, Debbie Chadwell, and husband King, Cecil Marvin Castle, III, Nacolla Reyes, Jayson Thomas, Chris and Matt Davis, Amy Garcia and Adam Pennell greatgrandchildren, Daniel and Josh Hoover, Courtney Dunham, Dakota Reynolds, Kaylee King, Brenden Glaze, Ethan and Alexis Parra, Kaitlyn, Ryan and Kimber Davis and greatgreatgrandchildren, Stryker Hoover, Sativa Reynolds and Axil Hall. Lorene is also survived by one sister, Mary Myrick.

She was preceded in death by her parents husband, Cecil, in October of 2012 son, James Charles granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Agnew and 6 brothers.
