Dorothy Denney

Dorothy Ellen Denney, 93, passed away April 15, 2014 in Hobbs, New Mexico. Mrs. Denney was born May 10, 1920 in Garfield, New Jersey, to Stephanus and Helena Sefcik. Dorothy married Earnest Ervin Denney on May 30, 1945 in Garfield, New Jersey. Mrs. Denney was a homemaker, and in the community since 1966. She was a member of the Pink Ladies Auxiliary. She also enjoyed scratchoff lottery tickets and playing slot machines, as well as watching TV.

Mrs. Denney is survived by two sons, Ronald wife Theresa Denney of Lubbock, and Robert wife Brenda Denney of Hobbs Grandsons Steven wife Misty Denney of Farmington, and Kelly wife Teri Denney of Rifle, Colorado Granddaughters, Jennifer husband Rob Nanz of Lubbock, Texas, and Jill husband Aaron Brown of Austin, Texas and seven GreatGrandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one sister.

Visitation will be held from 10am to 5pm, Thursday, April 17, 2014, and from 89 am, Friday, April 18, 2014, at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home, Hobbs, New Mexico. Graveside services will be held at 10am, Friday, April 18, 2014, Prairie Haven Cemetery, Hobbs, New Mexico, officiated by Pastor Elio Barrios.
