Donald White, Sr.

Donald Wayne White, Sr. of Hobbs, New Mexico, passed from this life July 14, 2010, in Casa Grande, Arizona. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 20, 2010, 10:00 a.m. at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.

Don was born July 14, 1932, in Lipan, Texas, to Hubert and Vanoy White. He came to Hobbs in 1950 and in 1969 he married Mary Faye Sessions, who passed from this life in February of 2007. He was a chiropractor in Hobbs for thirtysix years. Don was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Shriners, Sandy Sams RV Club and New Hope Baptist Church. He loved RV travel, silver smithing, stained glass work, wood working and actually built three busRV conversions, each one surpassing the previous one in beauty and dedication.

White is survived by two daughters, Judy Long of Hobbs, Janie Chambless of Kingsland, Texas, and Dinah Lawson and husband Randy of Hobbs one son Donald White, Jr., of Tulsa, Oklahoma and a brother Ted White of Bryson, Texas nine grandchildren, Jessica Dawes and husband Tim of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Donnie Chambless and wife Stacie of Hobbs, Danny Miller of Hobbs, Andrea Day and husband Doug of Buchanan Dam, Texas, Kimberly Mahan and husband Jamy of Hobbs and Donald Wayne White III and wife Megan of Tahlequah,Oklahoma, Travis White of Alaska and James White of Tulsa, Oklahoma ten greatgrandchildren, Chance Chambless of Hobbs, Lindsay Jennings of Hobbs, TJ Dawes of Rio Rancho, Alex Mahan of Hobbs, Derrick Dawes of Rio Rancho, Xander White and Sydney Catheryn White of Tahlequah, Cory Dawes of Rio Rancho, Michael Mahan and Garin Jennings both of Hobbs many nieces, nephews, great nieces and greatnephews and a very personal friend and companion, Betty Critchfield of Casa Grande, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and one brother, Mickey White.
