Donald Trusty

Donald Lewis Trusty, 89, went home to be with The Lord Saturday night, March 29, 2014, in Hobbs, New Mexico. He was born December 20, 1924 in Shamrock, Texas to Felix and Clara Harris Trusty. He met his sweetheart, Naomi Ruth Adams, in Bakersfield, California. They were married on September 28, 1946, in Bakersfield.

Don and Naomi moved to Hobbs, New Mexico in 1971 where he established and operated Trusty Sales and Construction, until his retirement, when his son Alvin took over the business. He loved his family, enjoyed fishing and working on his property.

Don and Naomi are members of NorthGate Free Will Baptist Church.

Don is survived by his wife Naomi daughter Donna and soninlaw Bill Sheehy, of Crossroads, Texas daughter Deborah Trusty of Hobbs daughterinlaw Brenda Trusty of Hobbs five grandchildren, and eight greatgrandchildren.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, three sisters, and his only son Alvin L. Trusty.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 1, 2014, with family greeting friends from 57 pm., and again from 88:30 am on Wed, April 2, 2014.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at NorthGate Free Will Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Jerry McArthur, and assisted by Minister Sid Butler.

Interment will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park, Hobbs, New Mexico.
