Donald F. Lydick Jr. passed from his earthly home to his eternal heavenly home, April 26, 2018. He was born February 16, 1932 in Middlesboro, KY to Donald F. Lydick Sr. and Lilla Miller Lydick. Don graduated from East High School in Denver, Co 1949. Married his high school sweetheart Nancy Carroll Coleman June 10, 1951 in Denver CO. They had a long and happy marriage. Don worked for JCPenneyCo for 43yrs in several states, CO, WY, NE, and NM. He retired from JCP in 1992 living in Farmington , NM. Moving back to Hobbs in 1996.
Don loved to golf, shooting pool, and playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was fondly called Pa and Great Pa. Don was a member of First United Methodist Church for many years, he was also a Gideon, and a member of Hobbs Rotary Club.
He is survived by his wife Nancy their four children Debra Lydick Wilkes (Don) Palmdale, CA, Vickie Lydick Peters (Barry) Hobbs,NM , Donald F. Lydick III Mesa, AZ, Tommy W. Lydick (Barbra) Eunice, NM, sister Betty Lydick Bell, and sister-n-law Linda and husband Rev. Frank Ward of Memphis, TN. Four grandchildren, Deva Lacefield, Keeli Wilson, Matthew Peters, and Taylor Lydick. Seven great grandchildren Caleb, Chloe, Nate, Abbey Lacefield, Sawyer, Sutton, and Crawford Wilson.
Preceded by both parents, oldest grandson Dane Wilkes and one great grandson Jacob Scott.
