Donald Albert Davis took his last breath and passed from this earthly life on July 4, 2013, in Big Spring, TX.
He was born in Hobbs on February 8, 1953, to Helen Davis and the late Henry James Davis, Sr. He grew up in Hobbs and attended schools hereBooker T. Washington Elementary, Houston Junior High and Hobbs High School, graduating in 1971.
Donald loved the old time westerns, whether it was a movie or a television series. He also loved his dogs, all five of them. He had served in the United States Navy.
Mr. Davis is survived by his mother, Helen Davis of Hobbs, a brother, Henry James Davis, Jr. of Hobbs a greataunt, Mrs Alta Green of Hobbs his nieces Ebony and Regina a nephew, Jonathan many cousins and other relatives.
Preceding him in death is his father, a brother, grandparents, aunts, uncles and other relatives.
A joint memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Hobbs for Paul Lawrence Davis and Donald Albert Davis with the Rev. John J. Joiner pastor of the church officiating.
Paul Lawrence Davis was born to Helen Davis and the late Henry James Davis, Sr. in Hobbs, on December 19, 1951. He departed this life on August 9, 2006.
Paul was educated in the Hobbs School Systems and received his high school diploma in 1969 from Hobbs High School. He was an avid athlete and enjoyed playing the game of basketball.
During the course of his life, he met and fell in love with Clay Ewing, whom he married.
Mr. Davis is survived by his mother, Helen Davis of Hobbs a brother, Henry James Davis Jr. of Hobbs, a wife, Clay Davis of Aurora CO a daughter, Ebony a greataunt Mrs. Alta Green of Hobbs, his niece Regina a nephew, Jonathan and two grandchildren, Raygan and Rayne many cousins and other relatives.
