Donald Erwin Bingham was born March 6, 1925 in Dallas, TX. Don went to be with his Lord and Savior September 14, 2013 in Lubbock, TX at the age of 88 12 years of age.
His parents were Rosa Mae Pittman and Will Erwin Bingham. Don grew up on a farm near Paoli, Oklahoma.
Don served in the Army during WW11. Upon his discharge he returned to Paoli, Ok where he married Joyce Wigley on June 5th, 1953. They recently celebrated their 60th annivesary.
He worked for Lone Star Gas Co. in Sulpher, OK for two and one half years. Don was employed by Conoco for almost 30 years. He retired in 1986 as Senior Staff Analyst.
He is survived by his wife Joyce Bingham of the home and four children sons Don Binghm Jr. and wife, Denise of Oklahoma City, OK, Dale Bingham of Hobbs daughters, Janell Rice and husband, Trey of Hobbs, Denise Mauldin and husband, Richard of Perryton, TX. Seven grandchildren, Amanda Tatum and husband, Zach of Oklahoma City, OK, Lindsey Smith and husband, Kevin of Lubbock, TX, Allison Daugherty and husband, Seth of Oklahoma City, OK, Weston Mauldin of Lubbock, TX, Derek Rice of Hobbs, Morgan Bingham of Hobbs, Jared Rice of Hobbs, and four greatgrandchildren Kynlee Smith, Sophie and Olivia Tatum and Jude Jacobs.
A celebration of life was held at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 28, 2013 at 2:00 pm. Pastor Brad Reimers was the officiant assisted by Music Minister Jay Carey. Mr. Bingham was cremated. His cremains will be interrred at a later date in Paoil, Oklahoma.
