Donald Clark Ainsworth 78 of Woodville, TX formally of Hobbs, NM passed to his eternal home on November 12, 2022
He was born in Mountainair, NM on March 23, 1944, the fifth of six children.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred K. and Eunice Ainsworth, his first wife Frankie (Finch) Ainsworth, a brother Jackie Ainsworth, 2 nephews, and a great grandchild.
He is survived by his wife Carolynn (Dewitt) Ainsworth of the home, son Terry Ainsworth and wife Joy, daughter Donna Taylor and husband Johnny, stepdaughter Lori Springer and husband Shane, stepdaughter Julie McGuinness, brother Alfred E. (Buddy) Ainsworth, sister Sue Alexander, brother Alan Ainsworth, sister-in-law Thelma Ainsworth, 7 nieces and nephews, 14 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren
Donald graduated high school from Hobbs High School in 1962. He married and started a family right away. He was a faithful Church goer. He sang in many Church choirs over the years and was the Song Leader for a lot of those years. He was the first one to pick folks up if they needed a ride to Church. He and his family were normally the first ones to Church and the last ones to leave. His hobby was his faith in the Lord and Man, he could sing!
He worked in the oil and gas industry until retirement in 1999. He retired with Chevron after 32 years’ service.
Donald never met a stranger and he always saw the best in people. He was known as Pawpaw by his grandchildren and many more. He loved his family very much. He is already greatly missed and will always be dear to our hearts!
