Don Adams

Donald Henry Adams passed away on March 27, 2011, at Hobbs Health Care in Hobbs, NM. He was born February 1, 1934, in Cleveland, OK, to Andy and May Adams. Don was in the Army and served in Korea as a photographer from 1956 to 1959. He married Peggy Meadows in 1973 and they lived in Jal, NM, where he retired from El Paso Natural Gas Co. after 30 years of service as a surveyor from 1959 to 1989.

He loved golf, fishing, photography and especially his cats.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy, and his parents.

He is survived by 2 brothers, Andy and wife Cora Adams of Jal, NM, and J.D. and wife Susan Adams of Oklahoma City, OK three sisters, Betty Fay Lenert of Edmond, OK Alice Marie Hayes of El Dorado, KS, and Aline and husband Sonny Lyon of Duncan, OK three stepchildren, five stepgrandchildren and six stepgreatgrandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Hobbs Health Care and their caring nurses and aides and Vista Care Hospice for the special care given to Don, and a special thank you to his caregiver, for two years, Flo.

Memorial contributions can be made to Vista Care Hospice, 1515 W. Calle Sur, Hobbs, NM 88240. A private service will be held when remains are returned from Texas Tech University Medical School.
