Dolores Belyeu

Dolores I. Belyeu, 82, of Hobbs, NM passed away March 18, 2019, in Lubbock, TX. Dolores had many joys in her life. She loved her pets, her garden, she loved reading and sitting outside, but above all she loved spending time with her family. Dolores never met a stranger and would talk to everyone that had a moment, even if just standing in line at Wal-Mart.

Dolores was born June 17, 1936, in Oklahoma City, OK, to George and Pearl Henderson McCaslin. Dolores married the love of her life, Herman Belyeu, on August 3, 1956 in Oklahoma City, OK. Together they traveled the world as he served in the United States Army. They spent 15 years in California, before moving back to Oklahoma. In 1998 she moved to Hobbs, NM to make it her home.

Dolores is survived by her son, Brian Belyeu and wife Christa of Hobbs, NM, sister, Avonelle Finley of Ft. Worth, TX; grandchildren Ryan Clements, and wife Sayde of Oceanside, CA, Timothy Clements of Hobbs, NM, great granddaughter Natalee Clements of CA and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Herman Belyeu, and brother, Paul McCaslin.

Dolores loved animals and supported animal rescues. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Lea County Humane Society at 575-397-9323.
