Dick Marker, 65, died Nov. 27, 2006, at Lea Regional Medical Center in Hobbs, N.M. He was born Dec. 14, 1940, in Hobbs, N.M. He married Dixie Barrick Marker on March 9, 1962, at First Christian Church in Hobbs, N.M. Dick was a graduate of Hobbs High School, having lived in Hobbs all his life. He was the owner of Marker Sheet Metal from 1967 to1996. He enjoyed hunting and was a collector of many things. He enjoyed having coffee with his friends and especially loved his family and grandchildren.
He was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Dixie Marker of the home; two daughters, Rebecca Walker of Stephenville, Texas, and Allison Nixon and husband Aron of Hobbs, N.M.; a brothshy;er, Darrell Marker of Hobbs, N.M.; and four grandchildren, Megan, Zane, Quentin and Amber Walker of Stephenville, Texas.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Easter Marker.
