Dianne Nelson

Dianne Thomas Nelson departed this life peacefully on December 23, 2008. She was born in Monahans, Texas, on April 17, 1937, to Richard Aubrey and Pauline Marguerite Thomas, and grew up in Artesia, New Mexico, with sister Durelle Barton and brother Richard Dick Thshy;omas. She was a loving wife for 53 years to husshy;band Ronald Nelson, beloved mother of Debra, Dawni and Ronnie Nelson, and all-around great and awesome Nana to her much loved Lilli and Jay Thomas Nelson. She is also survived by a large extended family and a cherished group of loyal and long-time friends.

Dianne was a member of Hobbs Patio Garden Club and Hobbs Literary Club, and volshy;unteered many years with Hobbs Hospital Auxiliary Pink Ladies. She loved to travel, garden, and spend time with friends and family. One of her favorite experiences was teaching private kindergarten and working with children.

A memorial service celebratshy;ing her life will be held Saturday, December 27 at 10:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, may we kindly ask that you contribute to one of Dianne's favorite benevolent organizashy;tions, St. Jude's Hospital for Children or First Presbyterian Church.
