Diana Hill

Diana Lynn Hill, 61, went to her eternal home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 5, 2008. She passed away peacefully at her residence in Hobbs, N.M.

She was the firstborn child of Fred and Merle Hill and was born on Aug. 1, 1946, in Lubbock, Texas.

She is survived by her loving mother, Merle Heard and husshy;band Dennis of Lubbock, Texas; her son, Sean Bates and wife Kelly of Hobbs, N.M.; her daughter, Heather Pennell and and husband Jashy;mes of Hobshy;bs, N.M.; her sister, Barbara Crawford and husshy;band Jerry of Helena, Mont.; her brother, Stshy;eve Hill and wife Donna of Lubbock, Texas; her brother, Randy Hill and wife Dana of Plano, Texas; and the true joys of her life, her three grandchildren, Brittley Bates, Kristen Bates and Austin Pennell. Diana also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and other close family friends.

Diana was a loving and carshy;ing mother as well as a doting grandmother. During her lifeshy;time, she lived in several locashy;tions throughout the country and worked in numerous proshy;fessions, including television, insurance and health care, before settling in Hobbs to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She loved her church family at Northside Baptist and spent many hours in prayer for those in need. Diana was a lifelong sports fan and particularly enjoyed watching golf, baseball and football.

She was preceded in death by her beloved father, with whom she is now reunited.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, at Northside Baptist Church with Pastor Brad Reimers offishy;ciating.
