Deric Haynes

Funeral services for Deric M. Haynes, of Hobbs, N.M., will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday; Feb. 9, at Pleasant Green Baptist Church, 915 S. McKinley; with the Rev. Russell Hill officiating. Burial will follow after services at Prairie Hashy;ven Cemeshy;tery.

Visitation is 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.

Mr. Haynes, 18, died Feb. 3, 2008, in Hobbs, N.M. He was born April 11, 1989, in Hobbs, N.M.

Deric enjoyed basketball and rapping. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his father, Deryl Wilkerson of New Mexico; two brothers, Deryl Haynes of Hobbs, N.M., and Desmond Haynes of Odessa; a sister, Amanda Haynes of Hobbs, N.M.; his grandparents, Hubert and Carolyn Haynes of Hobbs, N.M., and Nona and Sam Wilson of Hobbs, N.M.; his great-grandshy;mother, Thelma Haynes of Hobbs, N.M.; a special friend, Tiffany Williams of Odessa, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

Deric was preceded in death by his mother, Mona Wilkerson; a grandfather; two great-grandmothers; and a great -grandfather.
