A funeral service for Delrose Terry Scott of Hobbs, New Mexico will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at Northside Baptist Church. Pastor Brad Reimers will officiate.
Burial will follow at Eunice Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
Vivitation will be Monday from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Tuesday 8 - 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Scott, 66, died October 30, 2009,at her home. She was born October 16, 1943, in Kermit, Texas. She married Gary Scott on October 5, 1988, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Delrose received her BSN degree and worked at Lea Regional Medical Center for many years before retiring in 2002. She was very dedicated to Northside Baptist Church and enjoyed singing there with a quartet. She liked to travel and did so even when she was ill. Delrose loved her family most of all, especially the grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Scott of the home; father and mother-in-law, Gordon and Joy Scott of Hobbs; three sons, Jason Terry of Pearland, Texas, Greg Scott of Hobbs, and Bryan Scott of Hobbs; two daughters, Traci Terry of Houston, Texas, and Jennifer Terry of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Jeri Osborne of Hobbs; two brothers, James A. Bryant of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Johnny Owen of Jal, New Mexico; and grandchildren, Skylar Haley, Ridge Haley, Canyon Haley Richardson, Kadance Terry, Micah Russell, Tucker Scott, Jack Scott and Garrison Scott.
Delrose was preceded in death by her parents, J. M. Bill and Nadine Owen and a nephew, Jayme Terrell.
