Deloris Darlene (Cargill) Harrington, 86, was born July 12, 1933 in Shamrock, OK to Leota Cargill and entered Heaven’s Gates February 6, 2020. Deloris married the love of her life H.L. (Doc) Harrington August 1, 1950 on his 21st birthday in Bristow, OK.
The couple moved to Pampa, TX in 1952 and later moved to Hobbs, NM in 1961. Deloris worked for Hobbs Schools for 19 years in the food service department. Deloris was a woman of faith and loved her Lord and Savior. She loved music and loved to dance especially with her sweetheart H.L. (Doc). She never met a stranger and loved being around people and visiting. She loved making people laugh and was a true friend. When she loved, she loved big. Her husband and family were her greatest joy.
Deloris is survived by her husband H.L. (Doc) Harrington of Hobbs, NM; Daughter- Cathy (Charles) Gibbs of Hobbs, NM; Son- Harold (Pam) Harrington of Hobbs, NM; Son- Kevin (JoAnne) Harrington of Seagraves, TX; and Daughter- Lori White of Hobbs, NM. Grandchildren: Tim (Stormy) Gibbs of Hobbs NM; Andy (Vickie) Gibbs of Hobbs, NM; Jon (Krissy) Gibbs of Ruidoso, NM; Michael Harrington of Odessa, TX; Staci (Richard) Altman of Hobbs, NM; Tiffany Goddard of San Antonio, TX; Daniel (Janae) Harrington of Meadow, TX; Sara (Jon) Carey of San Antonio, TX; Ryan (Kate) Inman of Hobbs, NM. 18 great grandchildren with 1 due in August and 1 great, great grandchild. Also, a special lifelong friend LaVonne Wollum of Chandler, AZ. A special thank you to Desert Springs, Kindred Hospice, and special caregiver Maria Escobedo.
