Graveside services for Della Yoakum Bishop of Hobbs, N.M., will be 11 am Friday, March 14, 2008, at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.
Mrs. Bishop, 90, died March 10,2008, at Good Samaritan Village in Hobbs. She was born April 28, 1917, in Melcom, Minnesota. She married Jake Yoakum in 1957 in Mexico. He preceded her in death in 1965. She married Herman W. Bishop in October 2001 in Hobbs, N.M.
Della was a member of the Lutheran Church. She owned The Griddle Restaurant from 1969-87 and owner of the Coffee Break Cafe for 12 years.
Survivors include her husshy;band, Herman W Bishop of Hobbs, N.M.; two sons, Gordon Leroy Norby and wife Janice of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Vernon David Norby and wife Mary of San Angelo, Texas; a stepson, H.B. Bishop and wife Kay of Pinehurst, Texas; three stepdaughters, Wanda Williams and husband Bobby of Odessa, Texas, Nevell Alford and husband Lawrence of Andrews, Texas, and Peggy Brasted and husband David of Eunice, N.M.; a sister, Carol Slagle of Yakima, Wash.; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandshy;children; eight great-greatshy;grandchildren; eight stepshy;grandchildren; and 11 stepshy;great-grand children.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, a great-grandson and a great-granddaughter.
