Delbert R. (Pete) Lee, 92, passed away September 26, 2018 at Lea Regional Hospital after a brief illness with family at his side. Pete was born in Hennessey, OK to Fred J. Lee and Annie Bergenzer on February 21, 1926.
He met his wife Elizabeth Green, also of Hennessey, OK. They were married on June 25, 1950 and enjoyed 68 years of marriage. They had three children, Randy of Seminole, TX, Chuck of Aztec, NM and Helen Nave of Hobbs, NM, nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.
Pete, followed the oilfield in Oklahoma and went to work for Phillips Petroleum Co. and moved to Hobbs in 1956 as a mechanic until his retirement in 1985, where he made many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Truman and Ted and one sister, Goldie, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Those surviving him are his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and at his request no service will be held, just to be remembered by family and friends.
